  • Youth quota permit deer hunts at Camp Blanding WMA and at Andrews WMA. During these hunts, permitted youths (15-years-old and younger) and their nonhunting adult supervisors are the only persons allowed on the area. See worksheet to apply.
  • Family quota permit hunts are offered on many wildlife management areas. These hunts provide opportunities for a permitted adult supervisor to hunt with up to two youths (15-years-old and younger). See worksheet to apply.
  • Youth waterfowl hunts are held for those 15-years-old and younger at A-1 FEB, Guana River, Ocklawaha Prairie, T.M. Goodwin/Broadmoor Marsh and the stormwater treatment areas – STA1 West, STA2, and STA3/4. Quota permits are not required for these hunts.
  • Supervised youth small-game hunts for those 15-years-old and younger are held at Caravelle RanchRoss Prairie and Jennings Forest Wildlife Management Areas. Quota permits are not required for these hunts.

Youth Deer Hunt Weekend

Youth Deer Hunt Weekend – coincides with muzzleloading gun season in each of the four hunting zones and is available to youth 15-years-old and younger who are supervised by an adult.

Youth Spring Turkey Hunt Weekend

Youth Spring Turkey Hunt Weekend - occurs before the spring turkey season begins and is available to youth 15-years-old and younger who are supervised by an adult.

Youth Waterfowl Hunting Days

Youth Waterfowl Hunting Days - There are two youth waterfowl hunting days. One occurs the Saturday before the opening of the statewide duck season. The other one falls on the second Saturday after the statewide duck season closes. Available to youth 15-years-old and younger who are supervised by an adult.

The Youth Hunting Program of Florida provides safe, educational, mentored hunts for youth 12-17 years old who have completed a hunter safety course.
